2600'ers,
I've been wanting to do a number of things w/those 64mb USB keys, but haven't been ingenious enough yet to do it. Anyone willing to volunteer me info? You can email me if you'd rather not post...
Let's assume we're looking at Win XP boxes...
1) a batch file that searches the HD for any files w/the text "password" and copies it to the USB ram.
2) a batch file that does the LINUX thing & blows away the Windows Security file (SAM) w/whatever's on the USB card -- this could also be a bootable CD.
3) a key that added a user to the security file w/root access
4) a key that copied a bunch of files to a website...
Rather than a 'batch file', if you know how to make these 'autorun' when the key is inserted, please let me know...!
Anyone got a key & the time/patience to do this?
PEACE!
Ari

Re: USB 'keyring' tricks
Sun, March 5, 2006 - 12:01 AMmine came with a cd and now it works
when i want to copy to it , i plug it in and it shows up under f drive, removable drive. now i can transfer photos or whatever from my pc to my daughters in town so i dont have to pick out files indivudually. i really don't use the usb key drive very often. lol Lynn
